On the platform is a large group of missionaries of the Church of Jesus Christ of Later Day Saints (Mormons) waiting to take the Frontrunner from Provo to the Salt Lake City International Airport, to leave to their respective 18 month to 24 month long assignments.

Back in the U.S.A!!!
Title:  Back in the U.S.A!!!
Description:  After two years of living in Argentina as a L.D.S missionary, my return to Utah quickly included a photo of a UP manifest I saw on my way back home. A crummy shot? Yes. Sentimental? Yes.

Wish You Were Not Here...
Title:  Wish You Were Not Here...
Description:  Although Steamtown was a nice museum to visit, seeing this Big Boy taking on rust in humid Pennsylvania; makes me think how nice it would look under the roof at Ogden Utahs Union Station. I guess you could say... #FarFromHome for this Big Boy.

This is Famous?
Title:  This is Famous?
Description:  My first chance to meet the famed PRR 1361, and she is in pieces... At least seeing this in the nice new roundhouse in Altoona with a few signs of work to restore her is better than seeing her gathering dust in Steamtown I guess.

Snooty SD-40 Love
Title:  Snooty SD-40 Love
Description:  I am really digging how the SD-40 has such a snooty hood over its six truck axle. During this time of year in Utah, the dry yellow grass seems to match UPs Armour Yellow paint scheme.

Classic Procedure on the UP 119 Replica

Description:  Seeing that the National Parks must be here too show of history, these marks used during ultrasound boiler thickness tests, leads me to believe that ultrasound tests on boilers have been performed since the late 1800s... Just kidding. These marks on the firebox of UP 119 show modern safety rules that would only detract from the authenticity, if you are a train nerd like us!
