Several UP units were coupled together in Brigham City. Among them was this particularly interesting SD-40-2; UP 9839. From my understanding when UP gives an SD-40 a number in the 9000 series it is a sign that its as built appearance will soon give way to a SD-40N rebuild. This is the first photo of this SD-40-2 here on RR Picture Archives! |
