Description:  The Moffat Tunnel was down for repair work for a few days, so BNSFs trains in Provo were kept on the ready for when the tunnel would reopen. This train looked like it would soon depart, now that the route had been reopened.

Description:  The MWCNP-14, above Stansbury Park. This colorful engine set drew a crowd from across the state of Utah; all the way from Tintic Junction up to Ogden! I was here at this location with another railfan, Bryan Smith; and there were about three or four railfans waiting in Salt Lake's North Yard to see the crew change. Quite the famous train for the day!

Description:  A Utah Railway coal empty with UP units on the lead moves downgrade at Kyune. This train will be loaded at the Savage load out later in the day. This was the last Utah Railway coal train scheduled to run before Utah Railways coal contract expired. Apparently Utah only has two coal trains scheduled in January to meet some of the contracts tonnage requirements; and then they will exit the coal hauling business for the foresee-able future.
